In giving the commencement address at Hampton University, President Barack Obama – who arrogantly gifted England’s Queen Elizabeth with an iPod containing his speeches and is never without his trusty Blackberry – now declares with a straight-faced that he doesn’t know how to work new technological devices. (Cut 7 mins. 52 sec.in commencement address)
In his weekend speech to the Class of 2010, Obama derides technology (likely including conservative blogs and news sites) with these words:
“And meanwhile you’re coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments. Some of which don’t always rank that high on the truth meter. And with iPods and iPads; and Xboxes and Play stations – none of which I know how to work – information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation. So all of this is not only putting pressure on you, but is putting new pressure on our country and our democracy.”
And who can forget Obama’s digital army that empowered his presidential campaign?
Does this guy ever stop shuckin’ and jivin’?
